Crochet Christmas Tree

Leave your crochet Christmas tree plain or decorate it with tiny ornaments and tinsel (adding colored beads and silver cord is just one possibility).

Materials

• scrap yarn (green, white, and brown)
• size "G" crochet hook

Instructions

Tree

Chain 11.

Row 1 (right side) - Skip 1st chain from hook. Sc across (10 sc). Chain 1. Turn.

Row 2 (wrong side) - Skip 1st sc, sc in closest loop of each sc across (9 sc). Chain 1. Turn.

Row 3 - Skip 1st sc, sc in closest loop of each sc across (8 sc). Chain 1. Turn.

Rows 4 - 10 (1 sc). Slip stitch and finish off.

Trunk

With the right side of the tree facing up and the bottom edge of the tree pointing away from you, attach the brown yarn to the back side of the 4th starting chain from the left.

Chain 1, sc in back of next 3 chains to the left. Chain 1, turn. Sc in each sc, sc in ch 1. Slip stitch and fasten off.
